I have been working in veterinary medicine in the Charlotte area since November 1992, and at Providence Animal Hospital since January 2014. I am the Hospital Manager at both our Waxhaw and Charlotte locations.
I graduated with a degree in Biology with a minor in Business from Western Carolina University. I have experience working in both general veterinary practice and specialty medicine.
My interest are travel and sports. I’m originally from Pittsburgh (Go Steelers, Pirates and Penguins!). I also enjoy golf and try to play as much as I can.

Originally from Wisconsin, I have been living in Waxhaw for the past 8 years with my husband and our two black labs, 12 year old Baron and 4 year old Rosie. We also have a grown son who, for the time being, is living in Arizona.
Being from Wisconsin I’m a die hard Green Bay Packer fan. When not at work I enjoy hiking, exploring North Carolina, reading, working out and dreaming about taking a trip to England.
Previous to working for Providence Vet I was a dog groomer for 5 years and worked for an event planning company. I have grown up with animals my whole life and I enjoy seeing everyone’s fur babies that come through our doors.
What I love most about my job is getting to see everyone's fur babies and play with the new puppies and kittens.

Since I was a girl, my love for animals has developed into a passion over their well-being that actually guides my life choices. Over the past few years, I first became vegetarian and a cruelty-free consumer before finally joining the veterinary field.
I know no life without a pet and my most recent and current pet, a senior chihuahua, actually came into my life through my job. She was my first foster and a typical foster fail at that. I am fur-ever grateful for her as she keeps me company, makes me laugh, and she teaches me a lot both as a pet owner and a Veterinary Assistant being that she is a diabetic canine.
Becoming a Vet Assistant has changed my life and I am happy to be here and help your fur babies. I love that my job is a mix of three of my interests; animals, science and medicine. My job helps to fulfill my desire to want to make a positive difference in the world and I like that I'm always learning. I also enjoy developing relationships with clients and their pets. How can I not smile over friendly faces, tail wags, and cuddly purrs?
